Adam Woch & Robert Guzik
Adam Woch and Robert Guzik are guitarists with a classic technique who are not afraid to go beyond the limits. The musicians feel comfortable in rhythmic and energetic Latin American music, where they allow themselves to experiment. They often reinterpret, deconstruct, add a new, personal musical layer, creating a new quality at the same time.
They invited Marek Napiórkowski - a true jazz legend and an outstanding guitarist - to their new project. In the latest single by BAIÃO, the musicians combine two worlds - the warm sound of a classical guitar is intertwined with the penetrating and metallic sounds of an acoustic guitar. This is the beginning of a personal musical revolution.
Adam and Robert are a guitar duo that have performed all over the world. The guitarists have played in over a dozen countries on three continents, making their debut at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York.
We do not want to isolate ourselves from the audience and play in sterile concert conditions. We enjoy lively contact with recipients, without any being puffy and no rigid frames. Then we feel ourselves, and the sincere energy that we send to the audience comes back to us with redoubled strength. We break the usual ideas about instrumental classical music and give a sense of openness, freshness and accessibility. It's music for everyone, listening to the guitar is really fun!
Woch & Guzik
Adam Woch and Robert Guzik also collaborate with the most famous guitar duo Sérgio and Odair Assad. This cooperation resulted in Sérgio Assad writing a seven-part composition "One Week in Rio" and dedicating the piece to the Polish ensemble. The world premiere took place in March 2017 in Warsaw and Wrocław during a joint concert with the Assad Brothers.
The delightful first piece by the Brazilian composer Marco Pereira presented a beautiful harmony and unified sound combined with a strong technique and balance. Piazzolla was just as wonderful - understandable, with the addition of subtle flavors. Tango should be performed sensitively, and these two showed it. What a performance!"
New York, Carnegie Hall
The band is recognized in the guitar community, which is followed by frequent invitations to guitar music festivals in Europe and flattering words about their interpretations from the lips of the great masters of this instrument.
In 2021, Adam Woch and Robert Guzik were taken under the artistic care of the Norblin Factory Foundation which resulted in the release of the latest EP album featuring Marek Napiórkowski & Bodek Janke.
“To the delight of a music lover who knows how to relish a great album, this is without a doubt one of the best guitar duo productions right now.”
